About Child Trauma

Children who suffer from child traumatic stress are those who have been exposed to one or more traumas over the course of their lives
and develop reactions that persist and affect their daily lives after the events have ended. Fostering belonging and connection is essential
in improving health and wellbeing for children and youth. Quality support enhances trauma prevention and recovery.
Communities can provide resources that promote strength and safety for children and families.
